So it's been a crazy packed month or so. A bit of which I can't recall because I've not really been doing a journal so I keep forgetting. My bad. But trust me, it has been crazy.
So in August I reached the one year mark, half way there. Crazy I've been out that long. My companion Elder Mahoney treated me to breakfast at Lucky Me! It was a fast food place thought so as you can imagine it to be honest lool.
Also I was busy making a short single camera movie in Queenstown; eventually I was able to finish it. Although the computer I had to use was all in Spanish because we met a Cuban family who let us use theirs. It was very hard to use it if I'm honest but we finished the movie nonetheless. We called it Jacked Thoughts, a light hearted piece about how we should not assign evil motives to people when we don't really know what is going on.
Another crazy experience happened at the end of August. The men in the Church got together for an activity but I didn't know what it was because at the beginning me and my companion were pulled out and asked to help with the braai (bbq). So we had to go to a crazy store to buy meat. This store was super mad, people called us so many names that may be because we were the only 2 white boys in the place and skin colour is a big issue in S.A. But eventually we got what we needed then had to go spend the next 2 1/2 hours braaiing! Super crazy and very tasky for us lool.
September has also brought some crazy things too. A member is a fire dancer so the 10 missionaries who live in Queenstown all went over and tried it out. It's pretty hard not to hit yourself with the things. Some of us got our hair singed at places. It was super cool though. Facebook should have some cool pictures.
I guess the big news though is that I moved again. I've left QT and gone back to Cape Town. The very heart of the city will be my area including Table Mountain. I also work in the mission office and will handle post. In addition to that I've also been put in charge of the mission DVD (which is what I really wanted!) and I'm really excited to get that started. The DVD is just a photo slideshow basically, so it should be good.
A small comment to that sometimes the world sucks, our car got broken into last night. Smashed our window. My new companion lost a few things (jacket and scriptures). I was fortunate to have nothing taken because I left zero in the car. But it blows really! :(
Till next time,
love you all.
