My goodness a super busy month on my side! I'll admit not the most exciting but really busy. The work in Queens is booming right now, so much that we need to schedule some lessons a week in advance!
So I'll probably start with a health update because believe it or not we actually discovered the problem to my poor health. Turns out I'm lactose intolerant! Can you believe my favourite food was making me sick. I haven't had cheese in three weeks now! (chocolate is still tough!) Ever since I've been off dairy, I've been so much better. So finally, 11 months in and we figure it out. Crazy huh?!
Me and my mission president are back on good terms after life in Md. His interview with me (every 12 weeks) was brief, no arguing this time. Though even after a year on mission (come August 23rd I'll hit halfway! AWESOME!) I'm still a junior companion. Actually I'm the only one in the group of Elders who came to CT with me who has not gone up in the ranks so to speak. I don't know why!?
Still, 2 of the guys I've been teaching decided to get baptised and join the church. On August 18th another girl will do the same. It's super exciting for us missionaries to see this happen and be a part of it!
Queens doesn't really have that much cool stuff to do on our days off so we've needed to find things to do. Recently I was able to brush up on my film making skills. We made a movie (only like ten minutes long) about not assuming the worst in someone or assigning dark motives. We even filmed in HD! I'm still editing it but it was super duper fun to do. I've missed movie making! Hopefully in this transfer (starting August 7th), I'll finish it.
By the way, I can cook. Random I know but me and Elder Mahoney made some very nice pizza from scratch! Because we are that awesome!
Speaking of transfers, yes I'm still in Queens. This is my third transfer here so I'll stay for 4 1/2 month and me and my current companion are staying together. That's three months with the same guy, though I don't think it'll go like last time I said 3 months with a companion :)
Honestly, there hasn't been much else going on. We are just super busy teaching lots of people. Kinda sad I guess but we always seem to miss the really exciting stories. The booth me and my companion are doing is becoming famous lool. Kinda funny actually! Still it does actually work! Things are going super well here in Queenstown.
But the countdown begiins now. I'm getting closer to home
