With the arrival of the bikes (eventually) from Cape Town it allowed us greater mobility. We could spend the day without a lift from the other missionaries sometimes. There is one issue with the bikes though, high humidity and heat = torture. Okay so I might be exaggerating slightly but it really isn't nice. Especially when you get to a home to teach and you're sweating a lot...so not cool! We have managed to find short cuts and side roads I never knew existed in order to get places faster. Down hill is always sweet on a hot day.
Strange though, since I've been cycling, I've been healthy! Some of that may also be down to the lack of stress I'm going through with my new companion. After all the issues with Dale, change was needed. I've been given a companion younger than me so I'm leading the area. The new Elder does have a little greenie fever - this is when they leave their first area to go somewhere new and all they talk about is where they served before. It can get so annoying. The Elder is a fountain of useless knowledge and stories. You'd think he'd served a mission for 4 years instead of months, with how he talks. Luckily he's starting to grow out of it. Still, I can't complain since he's a nice change, very friendly. We're working hard and I'm trying to help him learn the area quickly in prep for me leaving on April 3rd! So it's been a crash course in leadership for the both of us!
Went through a period of friend-sickness this month. I've taken a break from looking at my photo album because of it. Missing people is the worst!
I'm trying to think if we've been doing anything exciting or cool that I can talk about. We did spend our Monday off recently playing in an empty water reservoir. Got some epic photos from it. Though it was really creepy climbing down into it! I also bought something to display house colours!! Go Snakes!! :)
But really, it's just been a relaxing transfer.
Can't really think of much more to say really, not exciting stuff anyway.
Love you all,
Keep Righteous and rock on,
PS. Wait! I did get a package off a missionary I met 10 years ago with some ties! One was huge, big enough for Hagrid! Super funny though. There were some awesome ones too! I bought some new shades too. Spending too much money :S
