This has actually been a very up and down month. There has been many issues with my companion recently, the unspoken anger makes it a little tense when we are with each other. So you might say there has been some stress in living with many different people from different, if not polar opposite, walks of life and when one hates the other it makes it very difficult.
There has been an upside to all this though, we have been super busy, I mean super super busy. We were always driving around to see heaps of people so much that we haven't had the chance to disrupt each other. Dale and I did actually have many good times, lots of laughs and we ate tonnes of ice cream (clue to the intense heat!)
Some great things have happened while working in Uitenhage though. Four people that we have been teaching have decided to join the Church! Some drama followed as the day they were baptised, the water used hadn't been checked so it was near boiling...ouch, so hot! Luckily everyone was able to see the funny side.
Not really been up to anything exciting in Feb. We did go on a tour of the largest VW car factory in SA. Man that place was super hot, I was dying! Plus I had no water - I know, clever moment. It was cool though, the film maker in me saw a great place to film an action film! :P
Feb 20th brought Transfers again! Sadly I'm staying here in Uitenhage but on the bright side Elder Dale got sent to Cape Town. Now I have a new companion, Elder Ricketts from Nevada. He is younger than me, which means I lead the area right now. He's a fountain of knowledge...but sometimes it's not always useful haha. Apart from the occasional snoring, it's going well :)
The thing is, both of us cannot drive so, with the other two missionaries in the area, we had to sort of move and switch the area around so that all needs were met.
I've been walking now for a few days! It's SUPER HOT!! It's a killer too, I've been close to dead. My feet are sore and my already well used shoes are getting worse. It takes forever to get anywhere!
All is well though, I'm still having a good time
Peace out. Keep Righteous and rock on,
