  • GryffinRoar is proud to announce a new project! Do you speak a language that isn't available on Pottermore? (eg. Indonesian, Malay, Korean, etc.) We would love to have you translate the dueling and potions pages into your native language to increase the Pottermore joy of those users who still need a little help with their English skills. If you want to volunteer, tell us via the Contact Us page!

  • We are currently doing several site updates all at once. Please don't be surprised if some links are missing. They're still there, but just re-arranged to make Gryffinroar more user-friendly.
  • We're behind in prefect's application at the moment, please be patient. We will get back to you as soon as we can.
  • The chats are working now! 99chats (our chat provider) had server problems. Sorry for the inconvenience

  • Both the Great Hall and the Prefect's Lounge are not working right now. The admin team is doing their best efforts to fix it.
  • Restored the link to chat rooms in drop down menu.
  • Be sure to enter the contest for the new logo! You can submit your idea to the GryffinRoar Gallery. Submissions are due by October 31st.

  • Both chat rooms can now only be accessed by clicking on the Chat tab, they will no longer appear in the dropdown menu.
  • Light has edited the theme for the site to make it more all-house friendly and magical :) [Note the wand at the top instead of a pen now]

  • Light is back!
  • A typhoon hit the Philippines, where many of our users (including CloakEye) live. We're hoping that they're all safe. There is a virtual card you can sign to wish them all well.

  • Light is going on vacation for a week starting 9/18. All Prefect Applications will be put on hold during that time.

  • We now have a new Linixicorn Blog and Gallery
  • We now have a GryffinRoar Shop to help Light pay the costs of the website, you can also find a Donate button at the bottom of the Home page and both Chats.
  • And a GryffinRoar Twitter, where we will be tweeting a different tip every day.
  • Also, if you've applied to be a Prefect, check out the Wall of Fail for a list of people who sent in incomplete applications.
