Tips for Swelling Solution |
- When crushing into a medium powder always stop as soon as you see the marker turn GREEN. You crush by repeatedly clicking the pestle OR by repeatedly clicking the centre of the mortar.
- Always look at the counter when putting in ingredients. Most people make mistakes during this part and if you do, you will have to restart the potion. Sometimes the count can lag, so wait a second or so before adding more.
- Be careful not to drop ingredients into the wrong container. Make sure you know if it'll be going in your cauldron or mortar.
- When heating, keep the temperature between the two temperature lines. If you go over OR under, you will have to start again.
- When heating on medium for the first half, use the high heat control to turn on your cauldron and then use the low heat and off controls to keep the temperature between the two lines. If it remains green, you're doing good!
- When heating on low for the second half, use the low heat control to turn on your cauldron and then use low and off to keep between the two lines. Using high heat to turn on your cauldron will increase the likelihood of your potion being overheated. This is a narrow temperature range so the best thing to do is to switch between the first and second heating controls (off and low heat)
- When stirring, watch the count. Sometimes it doesn't register you stirring or it lags and you stir too much. Stir once, wait a second, stir again and so on. The key is to keep an eye on the counter.
- FAMILIARISE yourself with the potion instructions BEFORE brewing. It helps to know what the steps are so you don't have to look back at the instructions all the time.
- To wave your wand you need to click and drag it.
- Avoid melting your cauldron. A melting cauldron is usually preceded by black/darkened smoke coming out of your cauldron. Usually occurs after over heating
